NYRB go on a 3 game Roadtrip

First up in the trio of away games are the Chicago Fire and former captain, Dax McCarty. It truly is a tale of two cities with the 2nd city as the Bulls charge in with a 14-6-2 record good for 44 points and the hosts are 6-16-5 and 23 points. The game will begin at 8:30 Saturday from Toyota Park, where the USWNT just took the TON title. 

Lynn Williams of NC Courage is NWSL Player of the Week

The 25 year old player was part of the team garnering the 2018 NWSL Shield Sunday night as having the best record in the league as they stuck the Thorns 2-1, with her getting a brace at WakeMed Soccer Park, tying her for the league lead with 10 goals. Her first tally game at 37' as she buried the cross from forward, Jessica McDonald, she doubled the lead late in the first half getting on a cross in the box from Merritt Mathias that was bouncing about, shooting the way to her 2nd 2 goal game of the season.

Real Madrid Defeats Roma Before Crowd Of 51,528 AT MetLife Stadium

Spanish side Real Madrid CF defeated Italian club AS Roma, 2:1, on Tuesday evening, during the annual exhibition club competition - International Champions Cup (ICC), before crowd of 51,528, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Spanish international midfielder Marco Asensio opened the scoring for 33-time La Liga Champion - Real Madrid in the second minute, off an assist from Welsh international forward Gareth Bale.

NYCFC and Whitecaps tie, NYPD, EMS & FDNY are Honored

The first responders were honored and hosted by the home team for the game that saw NYCFC without starting 'keeper Sean Johnson and suspeneded superstar, David VIlla give up one early and one late in the 2-2 tie. There were signs throughout the stadium and a halftime presentation. Sergio Villanueva was a member of the NYPD then switched to FDNY where he was lost on 9/11  after playing for both teams.

NYRB Look to First Match Up With LAFC and a First Win

An original franchise meets a newer one for the first time at RBA this weekend as LAFC makes the trip. Though far apart in history and distance, only 5 points seperate the 2 in a nationally televeised game kicking offf at 6p.m. ET on FS1, Fox Sports GO & NYRB Radio in English and Spanish on TuneIn. The Radio goes live at 5p.m. with the Honda Countdown to Kickoff featuring Matt Harmon & Steve Jolly as Ernesto Motta takes over the game in Spanish for the play by play @ 6.

USMNT Kickoff Series adds Colombia

Tampa will host the latest game in this series as the USMNT meet 16th ranked Colombia, if you cannot make it to Raymond James Stadium, watch it on FS1, UniMas and UDN starting at 7:30 ET. This addition now has the US facing 1/4 of the top 20 teams in the FIFA rankings joining fellow powerhouses, Brazil, England, Italy & Mexico, all but one was in this most recent FIFA World Cup. One more Oct. opponent is being cemented now. WIth this being a FIFA date, all player are up for being rostered.

Juventus Tops Benfica On Penalties In ICC Match At Red Bull Arena

Italian side Juventus FC topped SL Benfica of Portugal, 4:2 on penalty kicks after a 1:1 draw, on Saturday, during the annual exhibition club competition - International Champions Cup (ICC), before crowd of 24,194, Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J.

After a scoreless first half, Spanish defender Alex Grimaldo scored off a free kick in the 65th minute to give the 36-time Portuguese champion, Benfica, the lead.
