By Sean McCaffery, March 6, 2018

The record crowd at BC Palace got what they came for as Kei Kamara and Alphonso Davies each scored, for Davies, it was his first goal and left Kei 1 shy of 100 in MLS play. Fifteen minutes of play into the 2nd half saw the 'Caps draw first blood as the 17 year old Russell Teibert found Kei with a crossing ball to the head. Just 17 minutes later another new 'Cap, Mexican int'l Efrain Juarez played a ball on the right to Techera as Davies stayed inside and put the left footed shot home.

USWNT and France play to a tie in the SheBelieves Cup

By Sean McCaffery, March 6, 2018

Despite the cold, RBA sold out with 90% of the 25,706 ticket holders showing up. It was a good game as the US dominated early in the game, the 2nd half, France was very strong. It seemed the crowd favorite was young Mallory Pugh as all I heard were deafening screams each time she touched the ball, so reminiscent of Mia Hamm. Her faithful were well rewarded when she put back a rebound while being knocked over inside the penalty area at the 35th minute mark. Long Islander Crystal Dunn of RVC was a late sub and no sooner did she enter the game did she get a dangerous ball at the end line.
