Freeman Re-Ups with Sky Blue

A pair of days, a pair of singings as the local NWSL team readies for the 2021 season. Freeman, a defender is on a one year deal with a one year option. 

Mandy informed "I am excited to be continuing my journey with Sky Blue. I feel that I have grown a lot over the past 4 years as a player and person, right alongside the growth of this club. I am really looking forward to starting year 5!"

She was the 10th overall selection in the 2017 NWSL College Draft, that first year had her start 20 of her 21 games with over 1,800 minutes. Over her first 2 years with the club, she had 41 starts, 78% of her passes were completed, with 136 clearances to go along with 82 interceptions and 29 blocks.

SBFC HC Freya Coombe told "It was great to see Mandy return to the pitch this year. She has worked incredibly had to return from her injury and has the attributes to be one of the leagues top center backs this year."

GM Alyse LaHue added "Mandy has had a long journey back from recovery, so to see her start to return to form with solid minutes this season was fantastic. We look forward to what she will bring in 2021.
