Tri Nation World Cup Bid

By Sean McCaffery, September 14, 2017

Of late some more information has come out on this historic bid due in part to the tourney growing. A good deal of what US Soccer did put out is repetitive, but if they felt it worth repeating who am I not to follow suit but in a much more abbreviated fashion. A total of 41 cities between the 3 North American nations put forth their interest for the World Cup bid. As we had informed earlier, this fall the first short list is to be worked out with the final bid due to FIFA by 3-16-18 with 20-25 cities.

By Sean McCaffery, September 12, 2017

An all women's international soccer tourney comes to Bkly. 9/19 from 4:30-10p.m.. The teams in this event must of course play soccer, however there is a greater goal involved here. Each team chose a global goal from those set forth by the United Nations who are involved with this happening, so if one did not do enough no matter how good the team is, one wont advance too far.

Press Conference at NYCFC House for USMNT v Costa Rica

By Sean McCaffery, August 30, 2017

Tuesday there was a press conference at a pop up location for NYCFC, NYCFC House in the meatpacking district. Nice space newly done and all went well. As for quotes, no bulletin board material at all. Bradley stating that he feels he is getting better as he gets older. Howard that all the big clubs packed his bags and threw him out the door, self effacing and untrue humor. Christian stating the last year has been a bit of a roller coaster. With his father being from Centereach I am certain I must have played against or more likely officiated at least one of his games?
