NYCFC Pre Season Schedule

On Jan. 22, NYCFC will head out to Jacksonville to prepare for the Season start on Mar. 4 in KC and their home opener on Mar. 11, hosting the LA Galaxy. They will first face Jacksonville Univ. in a closed door match, on Jan. 31, next up a trip to the left coast to meet LAFC on Feb. 9 and LA Galaxy the very next day. South of the border will be their following destination as they take on Club Atletico de San Luis in Mexico on Feb. 13, back to the states for RSL in Orlando on Feb. 22 in a private game,  two days later in Jacksonville they are meeting up with the Impact in a public game.

DC United are cooking with gas as they get $300K for mid Kitchen

A total of $300,000 has been paid by the LA Galaxy to DC United for the rights to Perry Kitchen. This sum breaks down to $100,000 in GAM and $200,000 in TAM. He had been the 3rd overal pick in the 2011 MLS Super Draft, netting 10 goals while providing 10 assists over 150 regualr season games stretched over 5 seasons helping the Black-and-Red win the 2013 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. DC held his rights as he signed with Heart of Midlothian in the Premiership in Scotland for '16.

United Soccer Coaches and ADIDAS set 5 year deal

Today it was announced that USC, the world's largest association for soccer coaches in the world have a new agreement with ADIDAS. This will include being the exclusive apparel supplier over the next 5 years with a focus on leadership, with extra attention to women's soccer and with MLS. New business to business dealings, engaging with members, partners and ADIDAS are features of these efforts. Highlights will include the 30 under 30 with USC, and year round cross promotion beginning in Philly at the USC convention beginning on Jan. 17.

USMNT HC Sarachan calls in 30 for camp

Starting Jan. 10 and going through the game on Jan 28, these players will be getting a good look to make the game day roster. This camp being held in Carson CA in advance of the game with Bosnia & Herzegovina will feature the game at 9 P.M. Years 2004-2009 are welcome just $15 per player.

Mac winners announced

United Soccer Coaches via the votes of NCAA coaches have awarded the National Player of the Year awards, a 10 pound crystal ball awarded since 1967. Jon Bakero became the second straight player from Wake Forest to win the award, following fellow Deamon Dacon and current member of the DC United Ian Harkes. On the women's side of the ball, National Champions Standford had their midfielder, Andi Sullivan get the nod.
