New York Red Bulls renew Royer

Daniel Royer who this year has picked up where he left off last year, the only difference being many of his shots, though well taken have been blocked, saved, hit the woodwork etc.. He was rewarded by his team with a multi year deal announced today, this follows his coming out party, the 2017 season. Sporting Director Dennis Hamlett had this to say, "Danny both fits our style of play and club culture and we look foward to him contributing to our continued success." The 27 year old Austrian had a tremdous 2017, over just 26 games he hit for 12 goals and 3 assists well over a point a game.

Red Bull has been goring the West thus far this year and hope to rule the Galaxy Saturday, follow them on MSG, MSG Go, ESPN+, New York Red Bulls Radio & #LAvRBNY. Overall NY is ahead in the series at 18-17-8 but at home they hold a slight edge with a 9-6-5 record. It has been feast or famine with RBNY as their 3-3-0 record is just below their hosts at 3-3-1. Pregame kicks off at 10 and the triHonda Red Bulls Game Night, then Steve Cangialosi has the play-by-play with Shep Messing and Michelle Gingras.

The 3-2-0 home team face the Fire at 1-3-1 kicking off at 3:30 Univision, UDN, ESPN+  and Red Bulls Radio will have it for you as well. At 3, New York Red Bulls radio pregames with the triHonda Countdown, hosted by Matt Harmon with Stever Jolly. Ernesto Motta has the play by play in Spanish for them . To do their part for the cause of the day , $3 of each ticket bought will go to Autism Speaks.

Creighton product Lucas Stauffer has inked a deal on an USL contract with the team earlier this week. A major player over his 4 years at Creighton he was in 66 games with 9 goals and 12 assists. Picked in the MLS Superdraft by the Whitecaps he is now more than pleased to be with NY.

USWNT get a 4-0 win over the Ticas in U-17 CONCACAF Championships

Group B play in this tourney has begun for the US team and they opened in style with a large margin of victory along with the shutout. Costa Rica did not help themselves with an own goal and the 3 headed goals for the US. In control from opening to closing whistles, the own goal came at just 4 minutes follolwed by the first headed one by Peyton Linnehan at 15 minutes. The 2nd half saw Kennedy Wesley and Sophia Jones tally from corner kicks. See all the goals @ussoccer_ynt.
