Sporting KC player and former USMNT stalwart, defender Graham Zusi has had successful surgery this day to address a midfoot sprain of his left foot. Ortho. Dr. Kirk McColluch of the KC Orthopedic Institute was the surgeon, he is to be out for the next 4-5 months for rehab, thusly, closing out his 2020 season.
Though now 34, he had made 19 starts in his 20 games on the season, helping attain 4 shutouts with one goal and assist. Over a phenomenal 249 just regular season games since his being drafted by the club in 2009 ties him with another from the USMNT, Matt Besler. 7 times over an All-Star and from the 2014 World Cup, he has 55 caps from his tenure there, 2012-'17.
