DC United have acquired Asad from Atl Utd for up to $600,000

Big news, big deal big bucks, big player, he remains United but now with DC rather than Atlanta as Yamil Asad moves north. The 23 year old Argentine midfielder has a new deal that may pay Atl for 2 years, with 7 goals and 13 assists for the first year team, including the first, against NYRB. In leading Atl with 58 chances just edging the MLS MVP by 1, Yamil also lead the team with 1,114 passes in the offensive half, 4th on the team with completed passses 1,123, Yamil was also 4th in successful dribbles totalling 30.

DC United and Loudon County in talks for new facility

Here they grow again, not content with just the new Audi Filed to open this summer as one of the most green facilities in the nation, DC United are seeking more new space. On the grounds of the pre existing Phillip A Bolen Memorial Park in Leesburg, DC seeks to create a training facility, team offices, youth development program and a 2nd division team all at the western part of the park. The local goverment would provide roughly $15 million in financing for fields, training facility and a 5,000 seat stadium.

USWNT HC Jill Ellis takeaways from the conference call

Washington Spirit with HC Jim Gabarra who had previously played in NY has 4 of his players on the UWMNT roster, it was asked of Ellis how that is working out. Her reply was that to have players with a past together is great and her relationship with Jim is strong they are in touch often amd having Smith, Lavelle, Sullivam & Pugh together and at times on he field together leads to better combinations. She and Gabarra play the same system of 4-3-3 making it far easier.

Sporting KC add Felipe Gutierrez , Chilean Int'l and DP

KC inked the 27 year old midfielder, announced today. He has a 3 year deal with an option for 2021, taking up an internatoonal slot as all gets cleared. Coach Vermes is happy to add this player as he is battle tested in high level competitions. With 35 caps to his credit he has been to the top of the mountain, the 2014 World Cup and helping Chile take the 2015 Copa America title.

This hero leads in their community with confidence and passion, giving strength to  those around her and makes a change via her efforts. USWNT u-17 CONCACAF Championships schedule 2018

Beginning April 20, the US will face Costa Rica for one of 3 spots in the World Cup to be played in Uruguay. Other opponents will include, Canada & Bermuda as they play in Group B. All US games will be at 10PM/8PM local time, with semis on April 27 final and consolation games are set for April 29. Additional games are Bermuda April 22 and Canada April 24 all in Managua. All games are to be played at National Stadium.

NCFC re ups Connor Tobin

Today the news out of Cary NC and NCFC, now of the USL is that fan favorite and this  very active member of the community, has resigned with the team. Now entering his 5th year with the club he arrived via the now MLS team, Minnesota United. In compling 118 games played and surpassing 10,500 minutes, this is quite a testament to his durability and dependability. From his defensive position he was selected as an NASL best XI in 2017.

DC United Roster Moves for 2018 Season

DC United has exercised contract options on 6 players from last year, now having 15 players signed for the coming season. 

Options were exercised on the following: Luciano Acosta, Nick DeLeon, Taylor Kemp, Kofi Opare, Jalen Robinson & Travis Worra.

Already under contract for 2018 are: Paul Arriola, Steve Birmbaum, Russell Canouse, Chris Durkin, Ian Harkes, Jared Jeffrey Bruno Miranda, Patrick Mullins & Zoltan Stieber.

Jack Harrison goes from NYCFC to Manchester City

In a move that should surprise not a soul, phenom Harrison of England has gone home, the first movement of its sort from the MLS club to the red hot team across the pond. Many a young girl has just become a Man City supporter as he was quite the fan favorite amongst them. The first selection by the Chicgo Fire in the 2016 draft was then acquired by NYCFC. his production with 59 games played and the 14 goals made him quite the target.
