I may just be leaning to the fastest one by a player who I refereed his youth games at the Shep Messing Soccer World. A Long Islander who played in Europe. Mike Grella. But hey that is just me, there have been a lot of goals scored I guess, right? A few Olympicos, 2 involving RBNY come to mind, the first MLS goal, by Eric Wynalda, the first few of NYRB by Giovanni Saverese. It hurts me a bit to mention Zlatan and he had a few in his short time here.
The Greatest Goal will be known after the league gives out their list of the top 25, then vote on MLSsoccer.com. The voting kicks off from Dec. 14-17 and the winner announced on Dec. 18.
