Hudson River Derby Part Deux

By Sean McCaffery, October 31, 2020

In this Covid affected season the two from the NY market will meet up but 2x in the regular season, tomorrow at Yankee Stadium. This is the last Derby and one of the last games of the year, both are in the playoffs so it is about Pride, Points & Positioning. Red Bull have taken the season series 3 of the 5 years, only dropping one, 2017. On the strength of the Kyle Duncan GWG at 59' NYRB won the Aug. 20 matchup. There are 5 in red that have scored on NYCFC Royer with a trio, Kaku & Valot also have 1 each as does Duncan.

Missing a play in game, getting a home game, each may be impacted here. Is the home field more apparent than here?, RBNY lead 8-5-2 overall but away they trail 4-2-1. NYRB though trailing by 4 points are unable to pass their rivals, even with a win, but come in with quite the hot hand, unbeaten over 5 games but 3 are ties, totaling the same points as would one win. Of these most recent 5 games, the Red Bulls have scored very late, too late almost from the 77' or later but it has them with the 2nd longest active unbeaten streak to the Union at 5-0-1. Any late game heroics on tap for Sunday in Da' Bronx?

You may follow the game on MSG, NYRB Radio on TuneIn in English y Espanol. We fully expect to attend hoping to find a dry spot with rain expected.
