Covid Strikes MLS, Again

By Sean McCaffery, November 1, 2020

A major affirmation that the bubbles employed first by the NWSL and later MLS & the NBA/WNBA has been that though few there have been cases of Covid since getting a bit back to normal. One of most recent games impacted has been the home finale for Sporting KC, they have been having limited fans in, but the game today is cancelled, NOT postponed, as it is so near to Decision Day, they do not think it is able to be re-set. This action was taken due to a pair from Minnesota testing positive.

Those SKC season ticket holders that were to utilize credit for tickets to this game, will have their accts. credited. Single buy ticket holders will be refunded if full if secured via Seat Geek. SKC wraps up their regular season Nov. 8 @ 5:30 pm C.T at the RioT with RSL. Playoff information to follow.

It was made known last week that due to not all teams getting in all 23 games the positioning for the playoffs will be sorted out by points per game.

SKC with their 1.8 ppg are set already for the 2nd season and sit at the #2 spot in the West. The top quartet in their conference will have the homefield advantage for the first playoff round, culminating with MLS Cup Dec. 12.
