Soccer Long Island Magazine today received many videos from FC Barcelona, we posted them to our Facebook page, Soccer Long Island Magazine, please feel free to give them a look. Some of these videos are new, Pique at the end of 2017 as a forward, the return of Demble, the New Years Day tradition of players visiting at the Barcelona hospitals,others such as Rilvado with a unique goal and from 2005 Messi getting some goals are a bit older.Hoping you enjoy them.

As noted on the Facebook page of Socer Long Island Magazine, a number of players with contracts that expired with the end of the 2017 season were not renewed by the NY Cosmos. Not so surprising as Ochieng had put out photos of him playing elsewhere. Arango may not have wanted to return, given little playing time, then his arm injury. Jakovic is a bit of a surprise although he played well in the Copa America and all season, so he may have been looking to move on/up.

The weekend of Oct. 20 will have an NASL 50th Anniversary game following the Dallas game. The Hall of Fame which had been in storage since vacating its last location in Oneonta, NY is in the final stages of completion. In July, they will open a lounge with clear views to the field for FC Dallas, the Lamar Hunt Club a media center and locker rooms. This effort brings together FC Dallas along with the city and school distric of Frisco where the HOF is located. More details to follow on teams and who will play the concert.

Tom Mulroy, Soccer Tom is amongst the inital inductees for the Rockland Sports Hall of Fame. HIs playing career crossed continents and covered both indoor and outdoor soccer. From marking the great Pele and givng up a bicycle kick goal that plays on endless loop at the Pele museum in Santos Brazil to setting the Guiness World Record for juggling a soccer ball atop the Empire State Building, there is not much he has not done in the sport.

Just announced, DC United have acquired from divisonal rival NYCFC, defender Brillant for just $75,000 and an international spot for the Frenchman. He is now tied to United for 2 years including the first in their new stadium that we had brought you the details on. His 2 years were the 2 years NYCFC made the playoffs with an over all record of 26-14-14 when he played.
