Javier Casas goes from the Academy to the Fire

The 16 year old is now the 17th Homegrown in club lore, this teenaged midfielder is inked to the team through 2023 with a Club option for 2024. 

HC Raphael WIcky shared "Javier has shown tremendous upside as he has been training within the first-team throughout the 2020 season. His Soccer IQ is beyond his years and our staff is looking forward to working with him to continue his development in a professional setting."

Half a dozen years after joining the Fire Juniors & Academy in the Windy City, he is now with the first team. During his tenure with the organizatins he had 65 games, all but one a start, 19, all starts for the Academy. He was in the team's camp as well last yearn joiing them in Tampa & LA alike.

Academy Technical Director Cedric Cattenoy told "We'e thrilled to see another quality player such as Javier sign a Homegrown contract. He fully understands the values of this CLub and will continue to progress in the professional ranks."

Javier was with the U-16 YNT that took the title in the 2019 Nike Friendlies and has been with the program for a time now.
