Jason Pendant, a 23 year old back with 4 years in France, his last with FC Sochaux-Montbeliard in Ligue 2 has joined the New York Red Bulls. The left back from France will of course use an international spot.

Denis Hamlett RBNY SD informed "We are pleased to welcome Jason to our Club. In scouting Jason, we saw all the qualities of a Red Bull player. He is a bright, mature young man that became a leader at Sochaux despite his young age."

At 18 he had his first game for FC Sochaux-Montbeliard, this in Nov. 2016, a 2-1 victory facing Tours FC. During his tenure there he went on to play 72 games with an assist and goal, they had 22 shut outs in that time, and he served as the captain half a dozen times this season.

Jason was no stranger to the YNT of France having been with the U-15 & 18's.

Jason added "First, I'm very happy to sign with RBNY. It's a club that has won trophies, and where players like Thierry Henry & Youri Djorkaeff have played. I can't wait to get started and help the team win more trophies, I'm very excited to play in this beautiful stadium. "
