More money has traded hands as the 'Caps give $277,500 in TAM to get $185,000 in GAM from Colorado. The 'Caps now head well south to Houston for a game Mar. 10, we will have images from this game as are those of the last Dynamo game on the fb of Soccer Long Island Magazine.

With yet another blank sheet this pre season, NCFC seems to be firing on all cylinders. Steven Miller scored for his 2nd straight game just as the 2nd half began and new teammate, Peabo Doue folowed suit at the closing of the game on an assist from Nelson Blanco. Sat Mar. 11 v the Charleston Battery at MUSC Health Stadium, Charleston SC is the next and last of their pre season games.

The record crowd at BC Palace got what they came for as Kei Kamara and Alphonso Davies each scored, for Davies, it was his first goal and left Kei 1 shy of 100 in MLS play. Fifteen minutes of play into the 2nd half saw the 'Caps draw first blood as the 17 year old Russell Teibert found Kei with a crossing ball to the head. Just 17 minutes later another new 'Cap, Mexican int'l Efrain Juarez played a ball on the right to Techera as Davies stayed inside and put the left footed shot home.

With their new stadium not quite done, DC will play what count as home games but not at Audi FIeld for sometime, they also dodged the poor weather in DC for Orlando in front of 25,527. Asad struck for his first goal for DC, his 8th overall in MLS, he also had the first goal for ATL ever last year. Making their first appearances for DC were Asad, Durkin, Ousted, Brilliant from NYCFC, Fisher, Moreno, Segura & Mattocks. These were first ever MLS games for  Durkin, Moreno & Segura, DeLon had his 150th start in MLS , all for DC as Durkin entered in the 73rd minute.

Coming off the strength of an opening day win in league play and a great show at home v Olimpia, the NYRB are now in Mexico to take on Tijuana at 10pm, NY time this evening on Univision Deportes, go90, New York Red Bulls Radio &  #TIJvNY. For only the 2nd time in club history, NY has advaced to the Quarters in the CCL  and will play in Estadio Calienete live on New York Red Bulls Radio at 9:30 as Matt Harmon hosts the triHonda Coundown to Kickoff.
