Following the 2 well attended, yes we also went to these games at RBA, Sky Blue is making a great move, a game changer, for the team to play their 2020 home games there. Marc de Grandpre, RBNY GM stated "We are pleased to welcome Sky Blue back to Red Bull Arena after 2 successful events in 2019.  The team departs the way off the beaten path Yucak FIeld on Rutgers Piscataway campus, for the SSS that Red Bull Arena is, a top notch place. home to many international matches including tomorrow evening. The team started out poorly but did get it together more so towards the end of the season still, the top man last season is gone. Nelson Rodriguez, Chicago Fire President and GM stated "4 years ago, Pauno and the staff accepted the challange to help establish a football culture at the Fire. We are immeasurably thankful." His staff have also been involuntarily separated, from coaches to trainers to equipment managers. A pair spared are Eddie Rock Sr. Dir. Soccer Ops. & Alex Boler Sr. Mgr. Team Ops.

From Lake Grove to the Bundesliga and Borussia Monchengladbach, having never once played for NYCFC in MLS. He will remain with the MLS side for the 2020 season, then in Jan. 2021, pop the pond. Joe stated "I was very excited when I heard the news about the transfer to Borussia Monchengladbach. As a kid you always want to play in Europe and in one of the best leagues in the world. I couldn't be happier. It's always the same for us, to finish first in the league and win MLS Cup."  Joe is the premier player out of the NYCFC academy sold to a major European Club.

Let me state for openers, that the MVP should be whoever got the games played at Red Bull Arena. 'nuff said.

These awards were voted upon by teamates and coaches, including Newcomer of the Year, Defender of the Year, Unsung Hero, MVP & True Grit.

Newcomer of the Year: Paige Monaghan, with 20 starts out of her 23 games, this rookie had 1,759 minutes. Her first goals came as a brace facing the #2 team in the league, Chicago Red Stars in a 2-1 win, July 7.

Today the team made their honorees for this past season. Danny Royer won the well deserved MVP, in the absence of BWP, he stood above the fray getting it done, this was sponsored by Alcatel. Defensive Plyaer of the Year went to Cristian Casseres Jr., no small feat with others playing in the back on their respective national teams. No surprise as he was a finalist for Humanitarian of the Year league wide, Luis Robles took home this distinction. Amro Tarek, is the Newcomer of the Year.
