Sean Melvin is now tied to the 'Caps with a homegrown contract for 2018 including options for '19, '20 & '21, once his transfer is fully aproved he will be on the MLS roster. The answer to this oft asked question is, sidelined due to a torn ACL in his right knee during the OCSC game. The defender will have surgery in the near future. The 20 year old out of the Red Bull Academy had come back to NY after two years in France with FC Valenciennes. Kyle had already gotten into all 4 MLS games, with his inital assist in the league as the team beat MInnesota 3-0 at RBA. Once the surgery is done they will have a time frame for him to rejoin the team.
