In a pair of games that surely helped Chile and did not do much for the victors as they saw an early injury to McCall Zerboni who took a hard foul early in the 5th minute. They later played the last several minutes a player down but were still able to pull out the win as by that time as it was already decided, but a good thing to work on, being a player down. The FIFA International Break is upon us with the Boys in Red leading the league & are the only team thus far to have assured themselves a spot in the 2018 Audi MLS Playoffs. All they need to do is go 2-7 over the rest of the season to achive a new win total, it is pretty much assured they will do so. Sun. Today the Vancouver MLS side went public with ther full-time, fully funded program which now has the moniker, Whitecaps FC Academy. They hope to keep on with developing young talent at their new Whitecaps FC National Soccer Development Center (NSDC) as they have since last year. In this time, 5 players have inked MLS deal with the team, graduate Alphonso Davies a 2018 MLS All-Star set the MLS transfer record to FC Bayern Munich.
These teams will go at it in the 2018 Concacaf Women's Championship to determine the 3 automatic bids out of the total of 8 teams, the games begin a month from today and carry on until Oct. 10. This morning the draw in Miami also placed Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba & Jamaica in Group B (if not for Jamaica might it have been Group C?). Oct. 4 the US face Mexico at 7:30 p.m. local time, Panama Oct. 7 @5p.m. local time and T & T Oct. 10 @7:30 local time.
With a 6 game series and its' kickoff all but upon us, we now have the roster for the USMNT as camp opens today. This, what is being considered to be a new phase of the journey begins today. Many have had concerns as to the youth of the players, those who did not achive the most recent FIFA World Cup most certainly will not be brought back, so these games put the feet to the fire of the younger ones who will not be so young in just under 4 years at the next tourney.

SIgned in Aug, VIncent with with NYRBII, since call up had a goal facing NYCFC in the US Open Cup. Mines a Homegrown inked ahead of the season came up via the RBNY academy he made his MLS debut on Mar. 11. Both are out for the year.
