Revamped Red Bulls Dispatch Dynamo

By Sean McCaffery, August 30, 2018

New faces all over the field, same result as the last game, a 1-0 victory, the big difference here is NYRB now is all alone atop the MLS, if the season were to end today, they would be the Supporters Shield winners yet again. WIth just 7 games left, and in a stretch of over 2 weeks long with a game every 3 days, did they ever deliver. It is sad that almost 10,000 seats remained empty on a late sumer night game. With the rest of the home games being on weekends I hope that tide is turned.

How Lucky, Mkosana Gets the Call up from Zimbabwe

By Sean McCaffery, August 28, 2018

The leading goal getter for Penn FC of the USL has been brought into camp for the Africa Cup of Nations. I must wonder while he played very well in a higher level here with the NY Cosmos that he never received this, however am overjoyed that this honor has finally come to him. His 9 goals may have gone a long way toward getting this, what should be his first cap on Sept. 9 facing Congo.

Mid Week Match for New York Red Bulls with the Houston Dynamo

By Sean McCaffery, August 28, 2018

The Derby had to be a let down, with a man advantage for the last 15 minutes or so of the first half, then a 2 man advantage for the last 25 not only did NYRB not net a goal they gave up the equalizer. Facing DC United, a far weaker side, they were not exactly dominant. Keeping an unbeaten all-time record with the team from Texas that now stands at 7-0-1 should build some faith. They do enter this game riding a 5 game unbeaten streak and the Dynamo at 7-11-7 should be their next victim
