24 Hour Game with NYCFC Retuns to Rockerfeller Center

For its 2nd successful all day run, the game is back at 30 Rock. Over 700 are expected to join in the games, outside in NYC and some will be coached by Head Coach Domenec Torrent  and players in the heart of NYC at this landmark. Last year was amazing in one day all teams were filled, 714 players, over 500,000 dropped in, the goal tally was 415-382. In advance of the 2019 home opener Mar. 10 facing DC United there will be 2 teams, Team Ring, headed by the captain Alex Ring facing Team Maxi, fan fav. and 2018 MVP Maxi Morales will be their skipper. It all kicks off Mar. 8 @ 4 p.m.

NC Courage add a 'Keeper

The champs are not satisfied with the status quo and have brought in another netminder in Stephanie Labbe, terms as ever were not released by the team. This well established goalie brings her wealth of experience to the fore for the Courage. "Losing Sabs, was never going to be easy, but gaining Steph is massive for the club." Stated HC and Long Island Legend Paul Riley.

NCFC U-23 Alex Comisa Signs with First Team

A local college player @ UNC, and he is now a pro having gotten the offer on the strength of his preseason play. HC Dave Sarachan informed "I knew about Alex when I first came on board. I knew he had a greeat career at UNC. He's ceetainly a great example of a guy who has put in the work." He had over 80 games while at UNC, playing a big role in their advancing to the College Cup in 2016 &'17. His senior season capped a great career as he was named a First Team All- American, ACC Defensive Player of the Year & ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year.

USA Games Lined up for Concacaf U-17 Championship

In their Group F games, the US will face Canada Barbados & Guatemala during the 2019 Concacaf U-17 Championship May 1-16 @ IMG. The Bradenton faciity is a tremendous place that we have visited as has this team in the past, including the Nike International Friendlies and training last month. Four teams will come from these games to show for the region. First up is Canada  May 2, the US face Barbados on the 4th, two days later they finish v Guatemala on the 6th.

NCFC to Host First Friendship Cup International Doubleheader

Mar. 23 is the big day  at Sahlem's Stadium at Wake Med Soccer Park as NWSL champs NC Courage take on the Orlando Pride with stars Marta & Alex Morgan as the men challenge Necaxa of Mexico. These games are brought to all by the Hilton Garden Inn Durham Southpoint and tabbed as the "Friendship Cup" to show NCFC's dedication to creating deeper ties for the best men's  & women's pro soccer clubs worldwide. Season ticket holders may get their seats in a 48 hour time span  beginning Feb 20 @ 10a.m.

Half a Dozen Clubs Join the Girls Academy One from LI adds an Age Group

Now standing at 71 clubs and 342 teams, the academy system goes bigger in its efforts to impact everyday environments in producing world class players. Now with an U-16 level where Long Island Sc based out of Plainveiw will field a team sets this up to now with just shy of 7,000 players.

Cedar Stars Academy NJ, U-14 & 15's

Salvo, MN, All ages

SJEB Rush, NJ, U-14 & 15's

2 C's Play to a Tie, Cinci and Chicago

One of leagues most venerable teams were knotted up @ 84' with one yet to play an official MLS game. This preseason match was part of the Carolina Challenge Cup contested at MUSC Health Stadium. Unable to put away a number of opportunities in the opening stanza, just 8 minutes into the second they went up on a goal assisted by Nikolic scored by Katai. This was his 3rd in 4 preseason games as it came off a loss of possession deep in Cincinnati terrritory and the ball from Nemanja was played into space for him to put away.

Another Cosmo Returns Home

Salvatore Barone who advanced from the academy to Cosmos B and then the first team is back after 10 games with Penn FC, now on hiatus for thier first team but not youth programs. Salvatore said, " I am very happy to be returning to such an amazing club with so much history." Now just 23 he had his first pro game with NY, in the NASL facing Indy Eleven in 2017. He is one of a trio from Penn FC to come to NY, joining Aaron Dennis & Pedro Galvao. NY Head Coach, Carlos Mendes informed "Sal is a player who has grown up in our academy. He undestand the culture of the Cosmos."
