NCFC matches up with Hartford

Back home on Sat at 7 p.m., NCFC will defend their fort at Sahlen's Stadium Soccer Park, the game is Kicks 4 Kids Night with PNC as presenting partner in the game. A win affords the home team the chance to gain a spot near the top of the table, now in 5th a win would vault them into as high as 2nd with a game in hand. Last week was a 3-0 win at the Charlotte Independence as de Luz, Lomis & Speas found the back of the net. This 6th straight win over them helped them improve their confidence as prior to this they were winless over 3 games.

Pirlo and the UEFA Cup visit NYCFC

Italian Legend, Andrea Pirlo returns to Yankee Stadium where he had patrolled the midfield with the UEA Champions League Trophy Tour and their stop at Yankee Stadium for the NYCFC game Saturday. He wil be there well before the 1 p.m. kickoff where he had 61 games with the team as he played a key role in guiding them to the playoffs in 2016 & 2017. He won this cup twice to go along with his 2006 FIFA World Cup title and will be the honorary captain while he participates in the coin toss.

New York Cosmos Gain and Lose a Player

Just ahead of their NSPL season opener at 7 p.m. Saturday evening at Mithel Park with NYAC, the Boys in Green say goodbye to Memphis 901 FC bound Jochen Graf and ink academy product Brian Moya, in following club policy, terms were not revealed. Graf came on board in Jan. of 2019 and Moya had been with Ecuador side, LDU Quito. Sr. VP Joe Barrone informed, "Adding Bryan continues to show our commitment to having players from the local area on our roster. He has worked hard this preseason and we are happy to have him back within the club."

Last year it was a veritable fortress, that may be reestablished over the next several games to be played in the very friendly confines of Red Bull Arena despite the 2 game absence of Kaku. The next trio of games are at their great Soccer Specific Stadium, first up, first time visitors as an MLS team, FC Cincinatti Saturday at 7 p.m for Autism Awareness Night. This match will have its coverages on MSG, MSG Go & New York Red Bullls Radio on TuneIn.

Kaku is out for a Trio of Games

Due to an incident late in the Sporting KC game extra time, where he kicked a ball that went into the crowd injuring a man, Kaku is out for 3. The act, violent conduct and the red card carries an automatic one game suspension as does any red card, being sent off from the game. This created a bit of a skirmish on the field as the home players came to the defense of their supporter, when leaving the field, Kaku did touch his left chest (heart) making a sign of praying for forgivness (hands together).

NYCFC & ESPN Deportes 1050AM set Coverage

WEPN the local ESPN station will carry the some of 2019 Regular Season NYCFC games and playoffs with ESPN Deportes Radio 1050 AM. These games will stream live on the ESPN app, I Heart & Tune-in apps. Some games will be on ESPN Deportes Radio 1050 AM. Roberto Abromowitz & Ariel Judas will provide their commentary season long and inside access from NYCFC training, Roberto will be the play-by-play as Judas does the color. CEO of NYCFC Brad SIms informed, "We are excited to have our 2019 matches broadcast in Spanish.

City Select League Kicks off Larger with NYCFC

NYCFC is pumped to bring in the City Select League (CSL) now with more than 20 teams over the Boy's U-9 through U-12 ages. Academy Dir. Sam Pugsley informed, "with the US SOccer Development Academy drpping the U-12 age group starting in the fall of 2019, we had a natural platform to expand our youth league to the U-12 age group. We're confident that the City Selecgt League will off clubs in the broader Tri-State area an optimal competitive platform. We've reached out and to chosen some very good clubs. They know and understand what we're looking for." NYCFC Sporting Dir.
