NYRB 2-4 Seattle Sounders Away

By Sean McCaffery, September 16, 2019

The first goal was given up in under 2 minutes,  a great run by Morris, the 2nd was a crossing ball from Roldan to Morris headed back across the 6 and sent home by the outstretched leg of Lodiero at 23' for his brace, completed in extra time. Aaron Long sent home a header at 27', Kaku hit a blast 40' later, but NY was unable to hold on for the win, possibly too much energy expended to get even? An unfortanate deflecton off Sean Davis broke the deadlock at 83' it was finally iced at 90' + 4'.

KWIK KIXX:

-2 late goals put Seatttle over the top.

By Sean McCaffery, September 9, 2019

A Half Dozen New York Red Bulls Called in by Their Nations

By Sean McCaffery, September 3, 2019

Always a great thing to have your players recognized by their home nation and chosen to represent them in international play, this FIFA window the Red Bulls have a terrific group going home. These players are Aaron Long of the US, see our Facebook page for video of him, Kemar Lawrence, we saw Taxi play for Jamaica just a few weeks ago, and Michael Amir Murillo of Panama who we saw face Taxi live, all are called back by their teams based on their stellar play during the Gold Cup.

RBNY plays even but loses 2-0

By Sean McCaffery, September 2, 2019

The Red Bulls out shot and had more shots on target than did the Rapids, yet Colorado walked away with the shutout win. With over a dozen good looks on goal, none of which went in both goals, the first more so than the 2nd was against the run of play. Many of the first half tries were wide right of Tim Howard, the ex Red Bull on his last go 'round in the league. Jonathan Lewis had both goals, showing his value as the visitors did pay NYCFC a good deal of money for him, what was better his first goal or his slide? Images coming soon.
