Austin da Luz, Capt. @ NCFC to Hang up his Boots

The 31 year old is tops in so many hearts and categories at NCFC, top 10 in games with 175, minutes a whopping 13,004, 22 goals total and 18 assists overall, his presence will be missed on and off the field. Following the end of the 2019 USL Championship season he is done with his decade as a pro, 8 with his current team. Da Luz informed, "It feels like lthe right time to step away. The team's in a good place, and I'm just excited about continuing to watch it grow from the outside." Out of Wake Forest, 2010-'11 saw Austin in MLS with Red Bulls & DC United, then 2012 to NCFC.

Both opponents in the final of this tourney achived their spots in similar fashion, late goals for NC Courage and Lyon now have their date with destiny on Sunday in Wake Med Park at 7:30 broadcasted by ESPN2. This is the much anticipated rematch of the title game from last year, won by the Courage. Stage 3 is the place to be, as was Little Italy of the Bronx when they had a Serie A team now the property of the former owner of that Club back on the block. The Belmont Business Improvement District (BID) headed the effort with this event. As Rocco and his celebrated team were in town to play Benfica in NJ, Marios was also celebrating it's century in the Real Little Italy. Rocco, an Italian immigrant made the Bronx his home upon arriving here. The Av. was awash in a sea of purple as La VIola paid their visit and were hosted at an Italian restaurant on the street.

NCFC Inks UNC Alum Colton Storm

Local college standout Colton is now with the team for the balance of this season. A homecoming of sorts for the 25 year old our of PA. as he was with UNC from 2013-'16, then the 14th overall selection in the MLS SuperDraft of 2017 by SKC. 2017-'18 saw Colton getting major minutes with Swope Park Rangers, over 2 years there he was in 53 games with 3 goals and 78 assists, 2017 had him and NCFC GK Darrin MacLeod in the USL Cup Final. At UNC, he served as team captain helping get to the 2016 College Cup and a 2nd team All-ACC selection.

Miami Repeats As NPSL Champions After 2:1 Win Over Cosmos

Miami FC repeated as NPSL’s (National Premier Soccer League) Champion after a 3:1 win over hosts New York Cosmos in the 2019 National Final before crowd of 5,285 at Uniondale’s Mitchel Athletic Complex on Saturday evening.

Midfielder Dylan Mares scored twice (18th & 24th minutes) in the first half to give the visitors the 2:0 lead.
