US punches ticket to U-17 FIFA Women's World Cup, topping Haiti 3-2

Next up for the victorious USA will be Mexico in the title match June 12 @ 4:30 E.T. on go90.com and UDN. For their part, Mexico overcame Canada 2-1. The belle of this ball was Sunshine Fontes with her 2nd brace including the game winner.  Two of the 3 goals amazingly enough were netted in under a minute, one of course by Sunshine, the other sent home by Mia Fishel.  Haiti put together a rugged and well positioned defensive effort creating limited but threatening conters and hopeful distance shots.

Cosmos B Topped NYAC To Remain 1st In North Atlantic Conference

New York Cosmos B topped visiting NY Athletic Club (NYAC), 4:1, at Columbia University’s Rocco B. Commisso Stadium on Saturday evening, to remain in first place and undefeated (6-0-0 record) in 2018 NPSL’s (National Premier Soccer League) North Atlantic Conference.

Polish forward Wojciech Wojcik and midfielder Joey Sanchez scored in the 19th and 24th minutes, respectively, to give the hosts a 2:0 lead.

U.S. international midfielder Danny Szetela made it 3:0 in favor of Cosmos B just before halftime.

USWNT u-17's atop Group B at the CONCACAF Championship

The US tops Canada 1-0 as Reilyn Turner gets the goal, her 2nd in her 2nd game for the team, in this final game of group play. She got the headed goal after subbed in the 2nd half from a corner by Katy Wiesner in the 65th minute. Reilyn was named to the team recently as Peyton Linnehan was out due to an injury. Her first goal came playing Haiti June 6, their next opponent on June 10 @ 5p.m. ET on go90.com, and UDN to secure a spot at the World Cup later this year.

Kicking & Screening Soccer Film Fest, more ways to see more soccer films

Following their 10th triumphant showing of new soccer films and shorts last month, they are at it again. Today they announce ways to see some of the films they screened, and in support of the game and genre a few more. 

Celtic Soul from last years festival is streaing on iTunes, Amazon and more, it is the first film distributed by K & S Media Group.

NYCFC v Atlanta United Points to Ponder

A great weather day in NYC for a game as the home team with a win would take away the league lead, but only for hours should Sporting Kansas City win. Atlanta for their part come in hot, following a 3-0 win over the Battery in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup play and a league win 3-1 over the Union, their opponents were down to 9 men.

NYCFC comes in following a 4-0 loss in a Hudson River Derby in the U.S. Open Cup with neither team at full strength. The last meet of these 2 was an action packed 2-2 tie in M/B Stadium with Alex Ring Netting a great goal.

NY Red Bull at Columbus Crew

Facing former player Mike Grella of Glen Cove should be an interesting match up for NYRB who had had 5 of 6 away games decided by a single goal. Saturday at 5p.m., it will be broadcst on ESPN, ESPN Deportes ESPN+ and New York Red Bulls Radio. With NY ahead in their meetings, 30-27-10 at home however, the hosts are on top at home, 17-12-5. The 22 point RBNY will come up against the Crew and their 26  with the 5 p.m. game having Red Bulls Radio live at 4:30 with the tri Honda Countdown to Kickoff and Matt Harmon hosting.

Red Bulls Defeat NYCFC During Fourth Round Of U.S. Open Cup

In a Hudson River Derby match-up between these MLS sides on Wednesday evening had New York Red Bulls defeating visiting NYCFC (New York City FC), 4:0, at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J., during fourth round of 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

The crowd of 9,496 saw their second Hudson River Derby, after sides had already met last month in league play with Red Bulls winning 5:0.

NYCFC Extends Home Winning Streak After 3:0 Blanking Of Orlando

New York City FC (NYCFC) extended its home winning streak to six games this season (seven overall) after posting a 3:0 victory over visiting Orlando City SC in MLS action on Saturday evening before a crowd of 22,103 at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

NYCFC, who improved to 8-3-3 in league play, had Libyan midfielder Ismael Tajouri-Shradi notched his first of two tallies of the match in the 35th minute.
