Arkansas soph. fwd., Anna Podojil took last week's honor it was made known today. The Razorback out of Cincinnati played a role in all 4 goals as they beat UK 4-1. She had the initial goal at 8', assisted in the 49', hit for a brace at 54' and as full time came to a close at 90' had her 2nd assist of the match. Alone, her 5 shots surpassed the total of the opponents as she enjoyed her 3rd game with more than one goal in her college experience.

By Sean McCaffery, September 28, 2020

This effort of the team in to be similar to Sept. 11 being a national day of service & remberance. They chose 11 days rather than 1 as it was the 11th when these attacks tanspired. The team will do that many community activations in honor of those affected by the attacks of 9/11.

Day 1 as already covered had them working with Ronald McDonald House.

NWSl with a Trio of Games Today

By Sean McCaffery, September 26, 2020

Three games overall are able to be seen worldwide on Twitch, 2 on CBS All Access and one on CBS in the states. That is some great coverage, sadly I will be on the way or in the middle of the NYCFC game in NJ, I hope CBS All Access does replay their games. Who playes, at 1 p.m. ET the Chicago Red Stars with the daughter of an ex-NY Cosmos player and another that we know her mother in law, V Washington Spirit where we interviewed one of their players after she was drafted. Next up 3:30 a team with some Long Islanders, OL Reign go up agains the Royals who are on the market.

The Return of the King, Thierry Henry at RBA

By Sean McCaffery, September 26, 2020

Sunday at 7 p.m. ET, do not miss the return of TH to RBA on MSG, MSG Go or New York Red Bulls Radio. The home team has a distinct advantage at home as it is 9-1-0 and overall still good at 10-7-2. Montreal is improved, Red Bull will have to play at least as well as they did facing Miami to win as there is but one point separating these two teams going into game day.

Interestingly enough, their curent gaffer has the RBNY lead in goals and assists facing his current charges, 9 goals and 4 assists as RBNY has outscored the Impact at home 29-10.

NYCFC Loses the Game and Heber

By Sean McCaffery, September 25, 2020

It seems none of the subs worked out for Rony Delia, one gets a caution shortly after going in, another lost for the season. Forget the score line, the loss of Heber is season long and impactful. With Maxi still not back to fitness, the offense took a massive blow. We were half a section up in the seats and at the midpoint of the goal, he went down, hard and his defender was calling for the doctors as soon as he hit the floor then for the stretcher as well long before the ref or teammates.

Heber out for the rest of 2020

By Sean McCaffery, September 25, 2020

This was bad, as soon as he went down, his defender was signalling for the trainer as well as a stretcher as Heber lay on the ground. He stayed with him all the way until he was removed from the field. His right ACL is torn. He will soon go under the knife and begin a painstaking recovery, he has one of the best spirits I have ever encountered and I expect him to come even better.  Boa Sorte Heber.
