Vancouver makes a loan to Ottawa

In less than a pair of years, Gianfranco Facchineri has gone from the team's Academy in Aug of 2018 to their developmental squad and now off to the CPL for the 18 yeaer old center back until Septmeber. This Homegrown player also had time with the 'Caps U-17 & 19 squads, and Canada for the 2019 U-17 World Cup, inking his deal this past January. The CPL was due to kickoff April but COVID-19 dashed that. Last month the league, players and owners got together to set what to do with the year, Atletico Ottawa started to train again in early June.

Of course the USA is hosting the lions share of games in the Cup being hosted here as well as in Canada and Mexico, they had their such meeting in the spring ahead of the Coronavirus crisis hitting. Here, there are to be 10 cities chosen out of 17 with almost a quarter of them being in the north east. A good many of them were host to the last time the Men's version was here and there are some new markets as well. In on the call was Dan Flynn recent CEO of USSF and now head of the US City Selection and Colin Smith, FIFA Chief Tournament and Events officer.

This event presented by Contienental Tire, a new sponsor on their youth level, at Soldier field is for their first game back, in the MLS is Back tourney. This free event will show the game facing a new MLS team, Nashville FC, July 8 at 9:30 p.m. CT, on the Waldron Deck. You may enter 90 minutes pre game to watch the game on twin large screens on the deck. The first kickoff of a pro team in the Windy CIty was by the NWSL team, Chicago Red Stars on June 27.

FCC loan Dally to Las Vegas Lights

Unlike the most generous money they have been giving away of late to their local market, this is a loan to the Eric Wynalda coached team. The loan is for the 2020 USL Championship Season although the MLS side is able to recall him as the need be during the MLS season. Rashawn is 23 and in his 2nd pro year following being selected by Cincy #49 in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft, he did not see the field in the pair of games already played by the MLS side. For 2019 he had a fair amount of time, 24 games, 16 starts and a pair of goals as he split time with USL CHampioinship team Mephis 901 FC.

Francis Farberoff has the pedigree you would seek in a head coach a stellar carrer as he captained the team and had been an asst. as well., he was appointed yesterday. Captain America for over a decade, 2003-'14, he topped the century mark in games over 14 years total on the team. Upon leaving the playing beach, he shortly then entered the coaching world as an asst. coach, even headed the WNT their first year in 2019.

No foul language here as Jurgen Damm who is also with EL Tri has come to our South from the South as he signs with ATL. The player fresh out of Liga MX and Tigres is known for his world class speed. Given his late joining with the team, he is not going to play in the MLS is Back games.

Pirez goes from Atl UTD to Xolos back to Inter Miami

I wonder if he kept US cell #? Not long before the MLS is Back Tourney is to start, Miami built up their back line yet again with Leandro Pirez. He did well in his time with ATL, over their first trio of seasons with them he had 95 starts taking 3 piece of hardware. In winning the 2018 MLS Cup, 2019 Lamar Hunt US Open & Campeones Cups he is a proven winer at this level.  Yesterday, it was announced that he was inked to the team with TAM, this transaction took them from the top spot in Allocation Oder to 26th as FCC takes their place at the top of the heap.

FC Cincinnati is More than Putting their Money where their Mouth is

The big part of this is that they are imparting a quater of a million dollars, $250,000 to their FC Cincinnati Foundation to aid efforts realtive to racial issues. This action does of course have the full backing of Carl H. Linder, Meg Whitman, Scott Farmer, George Joseph as well as a good many other club partners. These funds are to assist local groups pushing to lend help and support to the Black community via: business/entrepreneurship, education, health care, jobs/job training and justice.

NYRB Does Not Pick up Sims

Josh is headed back to Southampton FC in England as his loan time here has come due.

Red Bulls Sporting Director Dennis Hamlett told "In light of the ongoing effects of the global pandemic and all of the uncertanties that remain, we understnad Josh's wishes to be closer to home and have come to an agreement with Southampton to recall the player. Now some 7 hours after the email sent he is still on the roster.
