This effort of the team in to be similar to Sept. 11 being a national day of service & remberance. They chose 11 days rather than 1 as it was the 11th when these attacks tanspired. The team will do that many community activations in honor of those affected by the attacks of 9/11.
Day 1 as already covered had them working with Ronald McDonald House.
Day 2 saw them in Harrison as they delivered food and a banner of thanks to first responders. Chief of Police Dave Strumolo stated " It's refreshing to see other members and parts of our community partaking and sharing with the police department. Every day they go out to work for our community and partners, and we consider Red Bulls a great partner of ours." Deputy Chief of Harrison Fire Department added "The Red Bulls giving back to the department is huge., We go over there, we mingle with the staff for some of the games, and to see them come here, see where we operate and what we do to provide safety for the residents and the occupants of the stadium, it's prett unique. I think we have a really good relationship with the Red Bulls and I think it's come a long way."
Day 3 Player gear to benefit National Black Child Development Institue and NJ Pandemic Felief Fund. Singed cleats, hats, golves etc. all were auctioned Sept. 14-24.
Day 4 Head of Sport Kevin Thelwell Reads to Seniors. This program is to span 3 weeks as staff members will record short stories and poems to be heard by the seniors. This is the first such event with the new Head of Sport. Kevin stated "It's very, very important for a club like us to do some things like these. It's a big statement about how we live our lives. Being able to support the local community is very important."
Day 8 had a tie in with Speedway.
Day 9 they partnered with Hackensack Meridian Health & the Hospital for Special Sugery
Day 10 featured a link up with Covanta.
