They opened the game with their force of last year, Connor Lade was involved in his 2nd goal in as many games as he assisted Rzatkowski, his 1st of the year and 3rd in MLS, after a wall pass via the defender, who first timed the pass at the hour mark. NYRB struck first of the foot of Tarek, it took some time but Zlatan would have none of it as he played a role in assiting Antuna with a great ball across the box then 4 minutes later getting his own goal. Etienne got the winning goal in the 67', not long after being subbed in for the first win v LA at RBA since 2013.

Still with twice as many ties as wins, NYCFC earned half as many wins as they had all season in their last 90 minutes of play, at times they have played more than well enough to win but failed to do so, this had each of the local NY teams win, a great soccer weekend for the local fans. The first game James Sands did not dress but local player from Queens Danny Bedoya did. Moralez had a hand or more accurately, a foot in each goal as he assisted one after getting his own early in the first half at 6'. Again there were may cautions issued for Unsporting Behavior a pair for each team.

Defending NWSL champions, North Carolina Courage have inked Clemson standout Shannon Horgan who last season was playing in Europe. She joins a long list of players from the youth teams on LI coached by Long Island Soccer Legend Paul Riley in this the top league on the planet. Shannon had been invitee into camp at the start of it and we are so happy she has caught on. Shannon joins fellow Long Islander Crystal Dunn on the team as they defend their titles both in the league and ICC torney. Horgan had been with the USWNT U-20 & 23 teams as she was invited to their camps on 3 occasions.
