Jan. 18 will be the date with destiny for those over 21 years of age and wish to attend the inital camp in Brooklyn. The venue for this event is SoFive Brookly, 2015 Pitkin Av, Broklyn NY 11207 from 9:30 a.m - 1:30 p.m. Featured will be training by select Sky Blue players, a 5v5 series of games and half an hour of interacting with the team players. At just $95 it is a great value, a group of 5 pay $425, a savings of $10 per person.

The coaches will be #8 Erica Skorski defender, #73 defender Madison Tiernan & Nicole Baxter.

Following almost a month in a very early Jan. camp in World Cup host Qatar, they meet up with Costa Rica on Feb. 1 in LA at Dignity Health Sports Park. the 12:55 p.m. PT game will be on ESPNews, UniMas & TUDN, it may be followed on the USMNT Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Should both teams advance from their first round game in the Concacaf Nations League, they would meet up again 3 days after the semis, the US should get beyond Honduras, the Ticos will have to play very well to beat out Mexico.

Guinea international Hadji Barry, a top mover and shaker on the field for the USL Championship as a foward will ply his trade for David Sarachan and company this coming season. He had been a first round MLS SuperDraft selection in 2016, just last season he was with Ottowa with half a dozen goals in 14 games upon his Aug. arrival from Israel and Kiryat Shmona.

Always good to have the Irish on your staff and Mike McGinty is just that as an asst. now to Dave Sarachan in Cary. The newest addition to the USL Championship club had an 8 year pro career as a goalkeeper and knows NC from his time playing as well as coaching. He comes off the 2019 U-17 World Cup where he was the US GK coach. An alum of Wake Forest, he has taken the spot left by Clint Peay who departed to be the first HC for USL League One team, Revolution.

For almost a full month, Jan. 5-25 the 2 dozen plus will train and have some scrimmages at the Aspire Academy, Hoha, Qatar, because why go to a place with a good human rights record. They will then retun to LA and Dignity Health Sports Park in LA for the Feb. 1 match with Costa Rica, a Concacaf rival.  As the USMNT will move on in the Concacaf Nations League to the semis, this game will be a big part of the prep as will be the long camp for those June games and the World Cup Qualifiers that commence in Sept.
