NCFC Builds with Barry

Guinea international Hadji Barry, a top mover and shaker on the field for the USL Championship as a foward will ply his trade for David Sarachan and company this coming season. He had been a first round MLS SuperDraft selection in 2016, just last season he was with Ottowa with half a dozen goals in 14 games upon his Aug. arrival from Israel and Kiryat Shmona.

HC Dave Sarachan had this to say of his new scoring threat "Having seen Hadji and gotten to know him as a player, the things that stand out to me is that he has a good soccer mind and very good feet for a big guy - both left and right foot. He provides a lot of variety as an attacking player."

2016 was his first year as a pro, with time for both OCSC in the MLS and Orlando City B of the USL Championship. With 37 goals and 9 assists as he went from Orlando City B, Swope Park Rangers & Ottowa Fury over just 75 games, he is a proven entity at this level and the level of discontent he will cause for defenders in his attacking third. After a great college career at Central Florida, Hadji stayed close to home with OCSC as the lucky #13 Draft pick, with Adrian Heath at the helm, he made his debut early on Mar. 6, getting just 10 more matches on the year with 4 starts and 307 minutes combined.

2016-'17 had him starring with Orland City B as over 2 seasons he totalled 14 goals and 3 assists with another new team member Conor Donovan. The next season was amazing with 19 goals for Swope Park, garnering him an USL All-League 2nd team nod. After such a great year, he was of course called in for national team duty by Guinea in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier facing Ivory Coast. Over 14 games with Kiryat Shmona in Israel he found the back of the net but 3 times.
