A one year deal with a one year option has kept Domi in the fold for the team as they prep to play at RBA.
Domi informed "I am looking forward to coming back to an incredible environment that has been cultivated here in New Jersey, along with the opportunity to play in a world class stadium. The team traded up to get him, now they have him all signed up for the coming and future seasons. The defender out of Marquette was taken as the 10th choice overall.
Sporting Director Denis Hamlett informed "We knew we liked Patrick when we traded up in the draft to get him. Patrick has done very well in preseason camp and earned this opportunity. We're excited about the competition at outside back and know Patrick will continue to work to improve his game, day in and day out."

For the 25th season of the league and team, MSG will show at max. 20 games out of the 34 game season. MSG has been the regional broadcasters since inception, they are doing pre and post game programming covering each home game they show and pregame for all away ones. Steve Cangialosi is back for lucky #13 season and has recieved an Emmy will continue with his play-by-play as our friend and Long Islander Shep Messing, the maverick US GK now in his 20th, he gave me my first job in soccer, 37 years ago and is back as game analyst as is hostess and touch line reporter Michelle Gingras.
2020 USSDA Championships hosted in Swope Soccer Village

The expanded field will now yield half a dozen national champions, July 9-12. Allstate is presenting these games where those named top club will be the Boys U-15, 16, 17 & 18/19's along with the girls side for U-15,16 &17's. The top quartet at each age group will vie for the national titles with this being the end to their Academy seasons.

Vancouve re-upped with fwd. Tosaint Ricketts, a NT player with Canada via a contract extension and now the 12 year pro is with the team through next year. As they enter the final run up to the new season getting one of their most tenured players back was a key as he is in the locker room.
Axel Schuster team SD informed "We are building a roster here in Vancouver that includes a number of young professionals and it is important to have some experienced players who set the right tone and help guide the next generation. We are very pleased to have Tosaint at out club."

Even without the #1 pick in the NWSL draft, Sophia Smith seeing a second of playing time, this team looks to be a lock to run the table in group play as it is over Wed., the 6p.m. ET kick with Honduras will tell the tale. With a 9-0 drubbing of Cuba and a lopsided 4-0 win over the Dominican Republic yesterday, they are well poised to take the top spot as the next opponent has been outscored 13-1 thus far. The US is already through to the knockout stage, so look for many new faces on the field tomorrow, a win tomorrow gives them the highest finish in the group.

The highest honor in any sport is getting into the Hall of Fame, the team accolades of division titles, championships are of course amanzing but those in such Halls autogaph things with HOF, not Super Bowl, etc. even if they have won multipe titles. Over a bakers dozen players have been put on this list and the Builders Ballots are to be set in the near future, voting begins March 18, good thing as the 17th is a national holiday, for me at least.

The US hopes to play like its 2008 in Futsal

With my last team, it was known as FIFA 5 A Side and the US was a top team in the game, with many players from my Louisville Thunder '86-'87 and a Captain America out of Adelphi later in Mike Windischmann. Now it has been well over a decade since the US last qualified for the Futsal World Cup in 2008. Just who will make the roster?, that is to be determined as they attend Futsal WInter Week in Croatia. But first, Group D of the 2020 Concacaf Futsal Championship is set. May 1-10 in Guatemala with El Salvador with the next game TBD with Nicaragua or Puerto Rico.
