SheBelieves Summit Speaker Setup includes one from Syosset

Yes, an athlete from my hometown of Syosset is in on the panel of speakers during this tremendous event for young women, Sue Bird, yes she played soccer for the Syosset Soccer Club for years will be a part of this important happening. Mar. 14 in Chicago. This event is to be chuck full of motivational people pushing for change over the sports, business, technology, entertainment and other industries, a few of these are entwined.

USSF now has Grassroots Courses En Espanol

Muy bien. My last course a C, had issues with this as many approached me on the quantity of time spent on the course in Spanish, as it was not offered as one or even a bilingual one, what's a decade among friends? This if finally being done with the extended attemps to lessen the obstacles in coaching education, Minnesota Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer will host the first ones in Feb. The courses will be on the 4v4, 7v7, 9v9 & 11v11 lics.

Cone re-Eelected, Aerner Fricker Award, Board Members etc from USSF AGM

Voted in are Cindy Parlow Cone again as VP, Juan Uro as an Independent Director of the USSF Board of Directors. US Soccer Member Orgainizations voted in were Cerebral Palsy Soccer, National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) & United Futsal, the National Armed Services Sports Council was given provisional national affiliate status by the Board.

Yes it is pre season, but every games counts, NYRB went ahead early with a 12' goal creditied to Kaku, but the Dynamo got level in the 58' as Memo Rodiriguz got one from his midfield position. The first half was very much in favor of NY but 2nd half adjustments are always key, Tab Ramos made some good ones to knot up his old team. The 2nd  half press instituted made a world of difference as Houston all but took the lead at 84' as a ball played in by Macelo Palomino was sent goalward by Michael Salazar,  Ryan Meara was up to the challange, with his game saving far post save.

Just a quartet of years ago, Pecile was in the Academy of the Whitecaps, out of Burnaby BC, he is now the 22nd out of their academy to sign an MLS Homegrown deal with the team. Now at 17, he is one of 4 Homegrowns to sign as such in the past 12 months.

Laura Harvey who left NWSL team Utah Royals to take on the U-20 USWNT has her first roster set for a big series of games that run Feb. 22-March 8. Day 1 has them taking on Cuba, Feb. 24 puts them up against the home side of DR, play in Group C will close out for the US on the 26 with Honduras.

Nawabi is acquired by Real Monarchs

Big news as our photographer in Salt Lake City, Fatima Nawabi has been hired by the USL team. Fatima has been doing photography for some 20 years, beginnning yes when it was still done in a dark room, seems like the dark ages. She has been snapping amazing images for three years now for us on the Facebook pages of Soccer Long Island Magazine & Soccer RSL Magazine as it's lead photographer.

She holds a certificate from the University of Utah in Photography.
