A Letter to their Fans, the Sky Blue Family

The team as the rest of us are handling issues never dreamed of. The are aware of the pleasure the beautiful games delivers to all involved, however with the advent of the Coronavirus, moves had to be made with the well being of all in and out of the game in mind.

The are glad their league, the best Women's League in the world, the NWSL have taken a forward thinking tact, following the lead of governmental, medical, league and legal experts. Their athletes are chomping at the bit to get back at it , but not until it is deemed appropiate by the powers that be.

Ban on MLS Training Extended

This was forwarded on behalf of Major League Soccer by the Chicago Fire. It was announced today that the training restiction has been reset for March 27, given that the earliest the league will begin games again is May 10, It will surely extend this restriction as well.

Players are expected to stay in their environs and of course keep up as all of us should with social distancing. Team faciliites are only to be entered for treatment.

MLS Pushed Back

This from the FIre, MLS season is suspended through May 10.  This is done in step with the advice provided to the MLS on Sunday out of the CDC for stopping 50 or more people gathering for the next 2 months. The league does fully intend on fulfiling their entire 2020 season. Many teams sent out these statement yesterday, thus far one today. The Red Bulls stated "We are in full support of Major League Soccer's decision to further postpone the season."

This was addressed to our "New York Red Bulls Family". He hopes all are well in these difficult circumstances. The team keeps all and their families in their thoughts. Despite missing seeing all at RBA, the key is the safety of everyone. They always put a lot of effort into putting people first and thusly have been in close contact with players and staff during this crisis to assure health, safety and general welfare in order to better serve all in the time to come.

FC Cincinnati Foundation lends help to the West End

This 2nd year MLS team is building their new home ground in this neighborhood which is of lesser means, now not only are they hiring locals to work for them but they als set their sights on fundraising. In light of the statewide order to shutter the schools, they are now taking in funds to help such families during this hard time at the hand of the Coronavirus. The money brought in will serve to assist the youth and their families to eat, fully 100% will go toward this end. The money is bound for Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy, Hayes Porter & St.

MLS Commish. on Coronavirus

The head of the only Div. 1 Soccer Leauge in the land, Don Garber made yet another statement on this virus running rampant through the land.

He made it known that the league, as the rest of us are keping an eye on the effect of the illness world wide. Earlier in the week the league made the necessary decision to halt play for 30 days. All involved were in agreeement of their goal, ensuring the well-being of all.

They are in alingment with the CDC, Public Health Agency of Canada and local public health authorities on the next moves relative their 2020 season.

Concacaf is on a 30 Day Suspension

We may have attended one of the last Concacaf events for a while as we were of course at their CCL game in Red Bull Arena for NYCFC v Tigres. This ever changing climate surrounding the Coronavirus caused this over a conference call Thursday with the Concacaf Council. I need to answer calls from numbers I do not recognize. This step was taken with the full consideration towards the welfare of all involved and due to travel restrictions and public health guidelines.

USSF Suspends Lamar Hunt US Open Cup

Most larger leagues are now in the beginning of their 30 day suspensions, the Federation has followed suit due to the Coronavirus.

US Open Cup Commish. Paul Marstaller informed "The health and safety of players, coaches, staff and fans is our main priority. Given the unique nature of the competition, which encompasses clubs from multiple leagues that have suspended their seasons, we are taking this action and will look to determine future dates to allow the 2020 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup to be played."

USSF Pres. Steps (Tumbles) Down

One news outlet stated he had been president of the USSF for 13 years, no, as his tweet reads he had been a volunteer for a bakers dozen years, yes the Pres, is an unpaid position, he has held that one for a pair of years. As he put it "I did not have the opportunity to fully review the filing in its entirety before it was submiited" is abysmal. If you have not fully reviewed it, it is not to be submitted.
