Aaron, on the strength of his play in the 2-0 win over Tampa is now an honoree for the week. Aaron lent his talents as NCFC ran their unbeaten streak to 6 games and just 2 points out of the playoffs. He totalled 4 interceptions, winning 3 tackles and all 6 duels, he is the 7th team member so honored.

James, it is a great town, my last team was there well before you were born in the 1986-'87 season. The first player from their academy program, this Homegrown from NYCFC was loaned out for 2 weeks as NYCFC reserves the right to recall him anytime. His only time with the first team has been in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup but saw sometime in the league showcase during All-Star festivities in ATL. Sands is now reunited with John Hackworth, the newly installed coach and his former coach with the U-17 USNT.

Sporting KC defender, Jimmy Medranda will be out from a knee surgery for the rest of the year. Last week, he underwent surgery showing damage in his left knee, another surgery is coming, sidelining him for 8 months.  The 24 year old had been in each of the first 12 games for SKC, starting 8, getting 2 goals and an assist, the first in a 4-3 victory facing the Fire March 10 and then the goal of the week candidate in a 6-0 drubbing of the 'Caps April 20, on the 15th, his assist went to Zusi and the tying goal facing Seattle.

With a handful of former New York Cosmos players, Indy 11 were able to hold off the visitors 3-2 on a last minute goal after giving up a 2-0 lead. The away side had a major advantage in shots at 24-15 but Indy found the mark on a far higher % of their attempts on goal. Starikov opened the scoring in the  7th minute and Guerra closed the books near the closing of the game. NCFC kept pressing and in the 21st minute a goal line clearance by Carlyle held off a goal as the Kandziora shot got under the netminder, Williams. Kandziora again in the 29' just missed the post.

Saturday evening on MSG 7p.m. ET, see all the action. WIth a stellar 8-1-0 record facing Western Conference foes the overall record facing the 'Caps is just 1-1-2 in Vancouver they hope to bookend the record with 2's this weekend. NYRB have back to back away wins including 3 out of 4 as their 3 game road trip continues and they are looking for some more away cooking. MSG GO & NYRB Radio in English & Spanish start it all off at 6:30 with MSG and the Honda Countdown to Kickoff hosted by Matt Harmon then Ernesto Motta takes over for the Spanish broadcast.
