After 3 highly successful years both on and off the field, President Jon Patricof will continue on as a member of NYCFC's Board of Directors, a move seen as certainly keeping great ties with the team and Patricof. Come the end of the year, and his contract the move will help to facilitate a seemless change at the top as his departue is not for months and the seach for his successor is underway. Having his finger on the pulse of the team, leaves him full aware and able to lend any and all assistance needed a the team moves forward.

A member of staff of the Atlanta United was in Press Row for a good 75% of the game this Sunday at Red Bull Arena. He was on the field amongst the players during warm ups, then seated in a chair with all the photographers but sans camera. He held a small pad with a pre printed diagram of a soccer field upon which he was making notes. The fellow was yelling in the direction of the field, I was unable to make out what he was saying or even discern what language it may have been. At times he was jesticulating in response to calls not going the way of the away team.

NCFC brings the season to a close with 5 of their 7 games away, not an easy task in a playoff push, the next one is Sept. 21 @ 7p.m at Coolray Field. The home team has been far from consistent this season sitting in 14th place with 23 point. They are a bit of a faceless team as they draw players from hither and yon, MLS, academy teams and more, all populating their roster. Last matchup, NCFC won 4-0 in Cary and they hope for more of the same on the road. Now sitting just 3 points out of 8th place and a playoff spot, they have plenty to play for, the last playoff spot.
