4 first time players are back among them, a co leading goal scorer in Robert Kristo, the others are backline players, Sam Brotherton, Alex Comisa, & Caleb Duvernay. This group accounted for a heady 6.856 minutes, a dozen goals and 4 assists and they went to the USL Championship playoffs with ex-USMNT HC Dave Sarachan who we were lucky enough to meet after their US Open Cup game at St. John's.

THe top scorer for the USMNT and #2 in MLS play with the MVP award named after seems to have again called an end to his illustrious 19 years as a player. Landon stated "I am truly honored to be named the first manager in San Diego Loyal history. He has many women on his staff, including Syosset native Shannon Mac Millan, of the USWNT and an historic figure at the colligate and National Team levels. The assistant coach will be Carrie Taylor.

SKC has made it known that they selected the ex Chicago Fire GK , Richard Sanchez, the 25 year old has 9 years of pro experience under his belt already. Developed via the FC Dallas Academy, their products dot their first team roster, he has also played in the US and Mexico, the last 3 seasons with the Fire, over this time he had 90 saves over 27 games. At the international level, Richard was the starter, getting in all 7 games as Mexico took the 2011 U-17 World Cup title at home. He was again between the pipes as the starter in the 2013 U-20 World Cup as they got to the sweet 16.

Hoping they have as much luck as with #13, Mike Grella, NYRB used the 13th pick in this draft to select Kendall McIntosh, this Stage 1 choice made him a Red Bull. Stage 1 selections have their 2020 options picked up or have the 2020 offer match their 2019 pay, Stage 2 players are able to redo their deals. The 25 year old was with Timbers and T2. Out of Santa Rosa CA, he played first for Portland facing San Jose in a Lamar Hunt US Open Cup match June 6 , with a shutout in the 2-0 win. Over his 3 years there, he had 60 starts and 10 shutouts with T2 since '16.

Tayvon Brown who of late has created quite a buzz has now inked his first pro deal. Tayvon informed "I'm very excitied to sign with New York CIty FC. I'm a Bronx kid and this is my hometown team, so to start my professional career in New York City is a dream come true." There is now a quartet of Academy products on the first team, although one, Joe Scally of Lake Grove is signed elsewhere.
