Vancouve re-upped with fwd. Tosaint Ricketts, a NT player with Canada via a contract extension and now the 12 year pro is with the team through next year. As they enter the final run up to the new season getting one of their most tenured players back was a key as he is in the locker room. 

Axel Schuster team SD informed "We are building a roster here in Vancouver that includes a number of young professionals and it is important to have some experienced players who set the right tone and help guide the next generation. We are very pleased to have Tosaint at out club."

With my last team, it was known as FIFA 5 A Side and the US was a top team in the game, with many players from my Louisville Thunder '86-'87 and a Captain America out of Adelphi later in Mike Windischmann. Now it has been well over a decade since the US last qualified for the Futsal World Cup in 2008. Just who will make the roster?, that is to be determined as they attend Futsal WInter Week in Croatia. But first, Group D of the 2020 Concacaf Futsal Championship is set. May 1-10 in Guatemala with El Salvador with the next game TBD with Nicaragua or Puerto Rico.

From Argentina, Gaston Gimenez is in the Windy City as a DP having arrived via transfer from Club Atletico Velez Sarsfield, the holding mid will be one of their DP's. He has the rather standard 2 year deal with another as an option.

HC Raphael Wicky stated "We are thrilled to acquire a player with the quality of Gaston Gimenez. I am looking forward to welcoming him to Chicago."

For $50,000 in GAM, Kansas City, who last year had Jhn Pulskamp on their USL team acquired his Homegrown Rights from the LA Galaxy. He now has a 3 year deal, the 3rd as an option in 2023 and he becomes the 2nd youngest backstop in team history. At 6'2" he already had a pair of years under his belt with the Galaxy Academy and their U-17 & 19's before arriving in the mid west and turning pro in the USL Championship League for SKCII. Earlier he had been with Real So Cal & Central California Aztecs.

Today the renewed club has gown their reach into the Spanish language market with a new area on the website and a new Twitter, @VamosFire. This allows them better abilities to reach fans world wide in Spanish. On the web find it at ChicagoFireFC.com/espanol, more aspects will be added to it as the year goes on.
