One would think if a player was coming out of Celtic, where NYCFC HC Rony Delia had been, he may have had the inside track. This former Hoosier, Andrew Gutman went from IU after 4 years, a Herman Trophy on the strength of 11g with 9 assists over 23 games on the year and the semis of the NCAA's. His totals in Bloomington are 20g 17a over 90 matches. This output lead to a 3 year deal with Celtic FC on Jan. 1 of 2019.

As written the other day, the NYC team out of NYC, NYCFC are already in Orlando for the beginnings of their camp for a trio of weeks. They now embark on year 2 under HC Delia, coming off a disappointing 5th in the Conference during a Covid affected 2021. See video of coach on the Facebook of #SoccerLongIslandMagazine.

-March 18 Facing Orlando

-March 18 off to St. Petersberg

-March 24 game with TBD

From the top league in Portugal to the top league in North America for Bruno Gaspar as he says "ate" to Sporting CP in the Primeira Liga for MLS and the 'Caps. The fullback will of course occupy an international spot during his loan, good all season long with the team holding an option to buy him outright.

'Caps Coach, Marc Dos Santos told "Bruno brings a wealth of experience from a number of very good leagues in Europe. As we continue to improve our roster piece by piece, Bruno is one part of additional moves we ate looking to make. We are very happy to have him join our club."

The 19 year old Cameron Harper has just arrived from Celtic, he has last played for a USNYT at the U-20 level. Jan. saw him get his first minutes with the historic Celtic as he had joined the Club and had time with the youth teams in 2018.

We shared on Facebook he event showing he new kit for SKC, to go along with that is this new partnership to mark the team's quarter century mark in the MLS. The Victory Project has them linking with Children's Mercy KC with this "A Force for Good" effort.
