As the convesation continued onto the experience of Javier as a coach, he explained how he likes to teach, possibly due to his father having been a professor and that young people are eager to learn to learn, likening them to a white (blank) sheet of paper as they like to gain knowledge. He told that decision making in soccer is helped by coaching as it is addressed in pre training, how to read and understand the game better as one seeks to "train only soccer situations". Doing so leads to better decisions.

Finally a correct decision has been made in this mess with the USSF, both the NY Cosmos, Miami FC and Jacksonville Armada will be involved with a play-in round May 5 or 6.

A stroke of great luck happened earlier this week as Steven Torres who has already penned a piece here, put us in touch with  the former national team coach. Javier has headed teams at the  top of Colombian soccer, Deportivo Independiente Medellin, Club Atletico Huila, Millonarios Futbol Club, Once Caldas, Deportivo Cali, Club Atletico Nacional, the full Men's Colombian national team, their U-23's, U-20's, U-18 & in Ecuador, Sociedad Deportiva AUCAS.
