Defender Chris Wingert, his father Norm played in the original NASL and forward Bardic have signed up for the coming NPSL season. "I'm very happy with these aditions to our club. I've known Chris a long time. He's a quality player that will bring in a lot or experience and leadership to our younger players. " Said new HC Carlos Mendes also of Long Island and of Bljedi he said "Bljedi is a versatile goal scorer that can help us in many ways in our attack."

Dane Kelly, the Jamaican international and 2017 USL MVP is now in the fold at DC. This all time leading goal getter in USL history was claimed via the MLS Discovery Process after a great 2017 with Reno 1868 FC. With 18 goals last year getting both MVP & Golden Boot Awards he had back to back hat tricks and left the league with 56 goals and 14 assits over 138 games, more than a goal every 3 games and assists every 10. Previously with the Charleston Battery and Swope Park Rangers he hopes to remain in the big show now.

Andre Rawls formerly of the Wilmington Hammerheads is now off to the USL side for 2018, yet NYCFC retains the right to call him back in at anytime during this season. A 3rd round pick by NYCFC in 2015 he spent time with the affiliate Hammerheads then signing on with NYCFC Mar. 3 2016 prior to the MLS season. Last season he was the 3rd 'keeper getting his option exercised for this year. Sporting Director  Clauio Reyna feels it it a tremendous chance for him to log significant minutes between the pipes and advance his game with all wishing him well.

Kevin Ellis a denfender and  goalkeeper Patrick McLain have been picked up by the MLS team, Ellis is guarenteed for this 2018 season and a club option for next while Ellis has the same guarentee with a 2 year team option.  Nelson Rodriguez, President and GM  at the FIre felt that the defender made his mark with the ease of his adjusting to their style of play and the team at large, as he is ready to challange for a spot. As for the backstop we are very well aware of him and his coming back helps us.

Futty Danso has returned to the defensive corps of NCFC. HC Colin Clarke is glad to have him back, in that he is a returning player familiar with the landscape, the system and feels he will be a great addition. Danso was pleased to return to a team that has done so much for him going back to his PDL days, he has witnessed the clubs achivements and is charged up to be part of the growth. While with NCFC  the first go 'round, Futty played 1,450 minutes over 19 games, getting one goal, spending 6 years with the Timbers, to go along with time in Montreal and OKC.
