A great weather day in NYC for a game as the home team with a win would take away the league lead, but only for hours should Sporting Kansas City win. Atlanta for their part come in hot, following a 3-0 win over the Battery in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup play and a league win 3-1 over the Union, their opponents were down to 9 men.

NYCFC comes in following a 4-0 loss in a Hudson River Derby in the U.S. Open Cup with neither team at full strength. The last meet of these 2 was an action packed 2-2 tie in M/B Stadium with Alex Ring Netting a great goal.

While watching a movie it is asked of you to suspend reality, imagine all that you see IS actually possible. This way people can bounce bullets off their chest, flip upside down and shoot projectiles at their enemies. During our interview with the Director much of this was covered but in short, there was a game, Messi & Friends to be played in Soilder Field, they were short players for the game. Northwestern was reached out to for players, they came through. Some had not played in years others kept in shape, they rounded out the roster many getting the start.

183 straight games in MLS play have come to an end for NYRB backstop Luis Robles, he has been spelled in Lamar Hunt US Open Cup matches etc. Those from the ATL who may find this to be an act of providence must understand that the NYRB have for some time now had 2 starting 'keepers with Ryan Meara. Not a good time for the kneee injury but let's see how it all plays out tomorrow at 7 p.m. on FS1. Having not missed a start since his premiere game with the team in Sept. of 2012 is a big adjustment some 16,470 minutes with a great 86 wins and a ridiculous 52 shutouts in those victories.
