With just one point thus far this young season, Chicago is in the midst of a 3 game homestand at 7:30 p.m. the fire are in command of the series including 15-6 at home, Fire asst. coach started with the Crew getting 50 games in from 2011-'14 as Crew asst. Josh Wolff spent 5 years in Chicago. Fire defender, Johan Kappelh of received his green card and is no longer counted as an International Roster spot.

For their first time in history the NYRB team is in the semis of the CCL, this is huge as it leads to the Club World Cup, a massive feather in their cap should they take the title. The bad blood with Chivas from their time in MLS plays an interesting role here and NY has despite the result of their last MLS game a lot of momentum here. The game is being braodcast by Univision Deportes, go90.com and Red Bulls Radio starting half an hour before kickoff in English.

As the convesation continued onto the experience of Javier as a coach, he explained how he likes to teach, possibly due to his father having been a professor and that young people are eager to learn to learn, likening them to a white (blank) sheet of paper as they like to gain knowledge. He told that decision making in soccer is helped by coaching as it is addressed in pre training, how to read and understand the game better as one seeks to "train only soccer situations". Doing so leads to better decisions.
