It was announced that the Chicago Fire Soccer Club will have Fire On The Mile, their experimental shop open on Fri. Nov. 16, a great thing for local residents & visitors alike, timely for the holiday season. This limited time opportuinity allows for all to gain new esposure to the Team. Many activiites will abound with soccer skee-ball, foosball and a gaming lounge in store for the 2 months during which it will be in operation. In this interactive space there will be exclusive Fire gear, limited run designer partnerships and adidas soccer gear.

The 2019 NWSL College Draft occurs Thurs. Jan. 10, noon at the United Soccer Coaches annual convention. The rules for eligibility have been tweaked a tad. THe player must give up or have no more eligibility for the 2018/19 academic year, be at least 18 by the end of the '19 NWSL season and finally register by 4p.m. ET Jan. 9, 2019. If one is not registered they are not able to be drafted. Starting Nov. 19 the site is accessable, nwlssoccer.com/collegedraft to register.

The season is over, the title awarded and they have done 13 transactions thus far, quite the heady pace so early in the off season. 5 options were picked up the same number were not. Those who had their options are Jordan Scott, Chris Lema, Jared Stroud, Amando Moreno & Tom Barlow. Options not picked up were Scott Levene, Niko de Vera, Lucas Stauffer, Jose Aguinaga & Steven Echevarria. Also moving on are Andrew Lombard and out of contract players, Allen Yanes & Andrew Tinari.

In a matchup of a late season game won by the Red Bulls that now has the United playing in a different lineup may make the solve they had for their next meeting our of power. These two went right down to the wire for the Supporters Shield which the Bulls once took again by the horns on the last game of the regualr season as TFC stymied the ATL. Both teams looked good over the weekend and should make for a great pair of games.
