The first goal was given up in under 2 minutes,  a great run by Morris, the 2nd was a crossing ball from Roldan to Morris headed back across the 6 and sent home by the outstretched leg of Lodiero at 23' for his brace, completed in extra time. Aaron Long sent home a header at 27', Kaku hit a blast 40' later, but NY was unable to hold on for the win, possibly too much energy expended to get even? An unfortanate deflecton off Sean Davis broke the deadlock at 83' it was finally iced at 90' + 4'.

KWIK KIXX:

Fire HC, Veljko Paunovic:

On the confident look in the game:"I think the team, at home especially , always has good performances at the beginning of the game. Today was one of the days that we had a brilliant start and we converted our opportunities. So we are focusing on the positives. We keep the confidence high and we believe that we have our chances. So we're going to take them all until the end."

Each and every game without fail, NYCFC has their Tunnel of Honor, where members of the NYPD & FDNY stand opposite each other as the teams pass between them, heading out to the field. It is always a very inspiring sight.

This year as in years past they will honor those with the departments, in the following fashions:

- The jerseys #'s will go to a flag pattern, and players will have unique 9/11 armbands in remembrance.

-NYCFC players will enter the field in specifically designed 9/11 warm up tops, paying tribute to city agencies.
