Quite possibly the oldest of rivalries as the MLS completes its first quarter century of play will play out in front of an empty Red Bull Arena, we do of course fully intend on being present for the contest. NY took a point away, but really gave up 2 in New England as Long Islander, Bruce Arena was still suspeneded for his oscenity laced tirade in Orlando. Shavon John-Brown was kind enough to give us some of his time to discuss things this week. He of course had a good game facing New Amsterdam for the 2nd time in this greatly abbreviated season of NISA and has been in the local soccer scene for some time now as well as playing internationally for his Grenada. When asksed about how he, his family etc. both here and back home are, it was a most welcome answer, that all are well. He did find it rather difficult to train during the height of the shutdown due to the Coronavirus, though was able to get in a lot of running.

We were able to catch up with just the 2nd captain of the most famous brand is USA soccer since their reboot, only to find the next game was not to be. We began by inquiring as to how his family has been through this Coronavirus crisis, thank goodness, all are well on his side of the family and that of his wife.

During the worst of times, he did find it tough to train as the fields were closed, but was able to get in a lot of roadwork and do body weight exercises.

The Cosmos were in our favor as we scored our 2nd interview of the year with this perennial fan favorite, once in the off season and just days before the big rematch with the one team that got in their way of yet another title last year, Detroit City FC. Bledi got the start in Warwick taking on New Amsterdam and yes of course he delivered with a goal and was dangerous throughout.
