What is new with New York City FC and their helping out locally, the Front -of -Shirt Branding for the game this weekend will be donated to bring  more attention to their cause. This is all part and parcel of their Cityzens Giving for Recovery campaign, a 12 month effort to help relief work on COVID-19.

The Canada based MLS teams re-started their seasons facing each other, and the games count for their national Cup. For Vancouver their first home game in 189 days was a win, 3-2 over their country men as a trio hit for the goals. Cavallini, Baldismio & Nerwinski found the back of the net in that order, for the first pair, they had their first goals in MLS as Jake sent the game winner home. They had their 3rd win on the year as they opened a 3 game homestand.

This is a bigger game for the team, most times when the coach is gone there is a bump in play, even though a new HC is not yet in place. Last I saw these 2 meet up it was a playoff game in Philly, NYRB had the lead and very simply gave it back, this was not the first time they had done so to this very team at the same location while I was in attendance, maybe it is me?

Former South African international and Bundisliga stalwart Bradley Carnell will be in the technical area in a game that will be ending in about 12 hours from now as the New York Red Bulls take on the the much improved Philadelphia Union, and we will be there. Carnell joioned the team over 3 years ago on March 28 of 2017. Before, he had assisted with the Orlando Pirates in the SA Premier Soccer League and the Free State Starts FC, while was the top dog at University of Johannesbug Men's team.
