The 19 year old has moved from the U-18 Academy team to the USL Championship side in his midfield position. WIth the U-18's, he had 15 games and 9 goals, a great ratio, nothing new as he had 89 goals and 67 assists for Harrison HIgh, all records for the historic program there. For his efforts, he was a 2x JNSCAA All -State selection and Section 2 Player of the Year in 2018. Both opponents in the final of this tourney achived their spots in similar fashion, late goals for NC Courage and Lyon now have their date with destiny on Sunday in Wake Med Park at 7:30 broadcasted by ESPN2. This is the much anticipated rematch of the title game from last year, won by the Courage. A weather delay of 73 minutes, then 2 goals in the last 15 minutes added to the drama as the Courage saw McKenzie Meehan, a 2nd half sub, send home a corner by Heather O'Reilly for her first pro goal.

Stage 3 is the place to be, as was Little Italy of the Bronx when they had a Serie A team now the property of the former owner of that Club back on the block. The Belmont Business Improvement District (BID) headed the effort with this event. As Rocco and his celebrated team were in town to play Benfica in NJ, Marios was also celebrating it's century in the Real Little Italy. Rocco, an Italian immigrant made the Bronx his home upon arriving here. The Av. was awash in a sea of purple as La VIola paid their visit and were hosted at an Italian restaurant on the street.

The Fire have not been hot away from home but at least at this game there was smoke.

HC Paunovic and his thoughts. " We didn't start well. We had a poor start. But, after conceding two goals, I think the reaction was appropriate. We never crumbled, we fought until the end. Playing one man down, it's always a big test. We scored two goals wth one man down for most of the time playing like that. Obviously we are not happy with the result. I think we are on a good path. I think locker room is strong and believes in our possibliities to reach the playoffs."
