This venerable club in the Pacific Northwest has eliminated the President title, as the SD will report direct to ownership, Bob Lenarduzzi, and his 45 years of service to the club is now the club liason. Why the change and why now?, to keep pace with a fast growing MLS. Jeff Mallett a co-owner informed, "These are exciting times in MLS. We are comitted to taking the 'Caps to the next level." What do they seek for this positiion, a proven leader, exceptional soccer expertise, a wide understanding and knowledge in scouting/recruiting globally, one who is able to get the most out of a sports performance model and embracing development at the youth level. Lenarduzzi will work closely with ownship and club execs to represent the team at the local, national and international levels. Mallett continued, " Whitecaps FC would not be Whitecaps FC without Bob Lenarduzzi. His knowledge, relationaships and history with this club is unparalleled."
