Another day another signee for NYCFC, Tajouri of Austria Wien

Ismael Tajouri is the 6th addition to NYCFC thus far this off season of change. At only 23, he should have a tremendous upside as an attacking midfielder. He will link up with the team in Jacksonville later this month for preseason. As explained by the player to NYCFC.com, "It's a dream come true to play for a big club like NYCFC- I'm looking forward to puting in good years with the club, playing good football and making fans happy. I realized Patrck Viera was going to be my new coach ,I was so happy. The fans are number one."

United Soccer Coaches lengthen their union with LMA

USC, formerly NSCAA continued their affiliation with League Managers Assoc. through 2019, allow both to continue on with their shared passion for developing the knowledge and experience of coaches. They will now venture together as they share content with the LMA Insittue of Leadership & High Performance. USC coaches will not solely get on line learning resources but also receive digital editions along with LMA Insights email, further USC members have the chance to  receive The Manager, at a reduced rate as LMA puts this magazine out quarterly. 

Cedric Hountondji of Benin joins NYCFC

It was announced yesterday that the 23 year old international has joined NYCFC following playing his youth international career with France. Signed as a free agent this may just turn out to be not just an insired move but a tremedous value. In that he already followed MLS, the move to the big city was an honor for Cedric who hopes to entertain the Bronx throng. Born in Toulouse, France he rose through the youth game with Rennes of Ligue 1 featuring his initial first team appearance in '13/'14 facing Nice.

Brian & Sauerbrunn out injured from USWNT Camp in LA

Morgan is back to her club, Olympique Lyonnais to overcome the lingering injuries that hindered her game in 2017, while the discovery of a stress reaction to the left foot necessitates several weeks  of rest for Becky. Having been made part of the 26 player camp now at work in the US Soccer National Training Center in Carson, CA in addvance of the Jan 21 friendly with Denmark at 7:30 in San Diego, this is also an oportunity for other players to get a look as no others will be brought in. 

Dwyer out for Jan 28 USMNT game

A hamstring injury wil sideline a very exciting player for the USMNT in Dom Dwyer as he is out with a common preseason injury that it is hoped will not impact the coming MLS season as it starts in early March. There are many other options at forward including Agudelo, Morris etc.

DC United will head off to Clearwater FL. on Jan. 28 to prep for their season to kickoff Mar.3 with Orlando, starting in DC on Jan. 22. IMG Academy in Bradenton will host their first game with top level Malmo FF of Sweden, Feb. 8  this will be live streamed details and start time to follow. Returning to Clearwater for the 2nd preseason camp from Feb. 14-22 and invited by Tampa, an invite to play in the 2018 Rowdies Suncoast Invitational for the third year running, this invitational is one of the premier tourneys in the US back at Al Lang Stadium.

Klimkova names 20 player roster for U-20 CONCACAF in TNT

Head coach of the U-20 USWNT, Jitka Klimkova has set the roster for the CONCACAF U-20 Championship begining Jan. 19. One must be born after Jan.1, 1998 to be eligible and those from a few birth years have been selected. Local player for Boston College, Samantha Coffey hails from Sleepy Hollow NY. These players were selected out of the 30 from the New Years camp where there was a constant battle for roster spots. 

The schedue for the US, Jan. 19, Nicaragua 5:30 pm Jan. 21, Jamaica 6:30 pm, Jan. 23, Mexico 3:00 pm for Group B.

NYCFC Pre Season Schedule

On Jan. 22, NYCFC will head out to Jacksonville to prepare for the Season start on Mar. 4 in KC and their home opener on Mar. 11, hosting the LA Galaxy. They will first face Jacksonville Univ. in a closed door match, on Jan. 31, next up a trip to the left coast to meet LAFC on Feb. 9 and LA Galaxy the very next day. South of the border will be their following destination as they take on Club Atletico de San Luis in Mexico on Feb. 13, back to the states for RSL in Orlando on Feb. 22 in a private game,  two days later in Jacksonville they are meeting up with the Impact in a public game.
