He was not a Marine, as he went to Regis HS where he was a National Merit Finalist & achived the Order of the Owl, making him top dog academic wise there, each of the years in his HS career. Playing for the team he was the captain of the 2x NYC Champs and was chosen for the All-City Select Team.

If anything less than the team that dispactched TFC in tremendous fashion, there will be problems galore, I konw Giovanni Saverse will have his team at top performance. Given NYCFC over the last 5 games has but one vitory in facing them the odds are not in their favor, but they did play very well last game, are they peaking at just the right time?

USSF Gets a New Mouthpiece

Today, the USSF announced the taking on of new legal council, Karen Leetzow after a pair of decades with NASCAR, serving as Senior VP & General Counsel. She will assume her new position in Chicago early Aug., for Wil WIlson, this is big as she is his intial new person at the executive level since he became Secretary General & CEO of the USSF.

NYCFC will once more take on a Giovannii Saverese coached team, this time it does count for a lot more than those games v his previous team, the NY Cosmos in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, more than 4x the money is at stake and though also not a game that counts on either MLS records, it is for one of their trophies, a million dollars and a spot in the ICC, so rest assured they will start their stars and play their DP's.

Some of the teams, NYCFC, SKC continued to let those on their press contact list know of these things on a fairly regular basis despite them now being league events. We must be new to the scene as until yesterday, despite covering the league for over a decade now and placing no less than a trio of calls without return relative to getting on the press list, until the most recent NYCFC press conference we were not on the league media list? This we were able to do by inquiring as to why?
