HC Jason Kreis has named his 20 to go through this process, the USA team has not come out on the winning side of in some time now. What began as 28, is now finalized and will compete in Guadalajara Mexico from March 18-30, camp began on the first.

Kreis stated "We know that qualifying will be a challenge, but it's a challenge that we're ready for. We'll need all 20 players on this roster to contribute. Our players are hungry for the opportunity to compete. We're excited to get started with the tournament."

The MLS team out of NYS, will open their season on the road, but not at the home of their opponent as they take on DC United in Chester, home of the Union.  This season opening match for NYCFC will be on April 17 at 8 p.m. ET. NYCFC will have their Home Opener with FCC April 24 at 1 p.m. ET. Each of these games will be shown on the YES Network and YES App, with pre-game half an hour in advance of kick-off.

This series of games from last year, the first pro sporting event to come back during the time of Corona. The Challenge Cup is sponsored by Secret Deodorant will kickoff April 9 with a replay of the title game of last year, shown on CBS Sports Network. The next games will be the first game of the KC franchise relocated from Utah as it had left KC scant years before, they go up against the Thorns at Providence Park at 10:30 p.m. ET on Paramount+.

In just under 5 weeks, NYRB will take on Sporting Kansas City at home, April 17 a 1 p.m. ET match up. They only come out here every other year, so it will be a good test for both teams. The latest statement out of the NJ Government as we shared here is that up to 15% capacity may be in attendance, 7,000 or so fans. We do hope the Covid numbers keep dropping as those at the game may rise. As elsewhere, there is a  massive pent up demand for live sports by the many fans, players, game day staff who have been missing work days.
