Later today, the team travels to Orlando for training camp, missing is Heber, still home in Brazil rehabbing from his torn ACL. These 29 players include Amundsen set to join them upon receipt of his P-1 Visa, a pair of unsigned draftees & half a dozen academy players will also travel, of note is Coper Flax, who had some time also in the 2020 preseason.

The games, set for this month have been suspended, though this hurts the game, we are very pleased that they took the totality of the situation into consideration. It is not just the playing of the games that is at issue, the safety of  the player, and game staff, but also the risk with travel. The possibilities of spreading new strains which are already pushing the efforts to get shots to all may then be rendered further less effective.

No, not today but prior to jaunting off to PSG, the NYC native did consider a move there as was disclosed on the podcast, Orange Slices. What would cause a New Yorker to consider going to Philthadelphia I ask you?, why their residency program for the Academy. As he explained, "the way they run their Academy and the way they have that residency program is amazing. All these kids ae together 24/7,going to school, playing together, living together. They're building that bond and I think it just makes it better for the player.

Together with the Asians in the MLS Employee Resource Group, the league released this statement, reiterating their backing of those from the regions. This is a respnse to such horrific events that have taken a nasty uptick in the wake  of the Corona virus.

Now and always, MLS advocates for social justice and is dedicated to combatting racism and xenophobia. Attacks on the Asian community, while not new, have been on the rise since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The increasing violent hate crimes against members of the Asian community are abhorrent and must come to an end.
